2020 AMM/WFM Conference Postponed

On April 21, 2020, the Association of Midwest Museums and the Wisconsin Federation of Museums announced that the joint conference which was scheduled to take place in July has been postponed to a future date due to ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. The new date of the conference is yet to be determined but will be no earlier than mid-November.

It's an Election Year! 2020 MRC Board Elections

The Midwest Registrars Committee is soliciting nominations for our Executive Board which includes the Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer. Please self-nominate or encourage a colleague to run!

Nominations are due by April 24, 2020. Voting ballots will be sent out to the MRC membership by May 1st. Please contact Rachel Vargas (vargasr@msu.edu) or Andy Near if you are interested or have any questions.

Join the Association of Midwest Museums and the Wisconsin Federation of Museums at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin on July 22-25 for the 2020 AMM-WFM Join Conference! We look forward to seeing our MRC colleagues from all eight Midwestern states in Wisconsin for diverse professional programming, opportunities to visit local museums, and a chance to explore the “City of Festivals” during it’s peak season.

Early Bird Registration is open now through May 1st, followed by online pre-registration through July 6, 2020. After online registration periods, only onsite registration will be available.

2019 AMM Conference – Grand Rapids, MI

Join us in Grand Rapids, Michigan!

The Association of Midwest Museums 2019 Annual Conference will be in Grand Rapids, Michigan on October 2-5, 2019, in collaboration with the Michigan Museums Association. The conference will align with a major art event called Project 1, from the creators of the internationally recognized event ArtPrize.  Conference sessions and keynotes will take place in the historic Amway Grand Plaza Hotel.
